Counselling Programme

Counselling is short term, focuses mainly on parenting challenges and is aimed at engaging the parent into a partnership where information is shared and the parent's own problem-solving ability is facilitated.This takes place mainly at our Wynberg Office. There are satellite offices in Gugulethu and Khayelitsha where counselling also takes place.The service is for any caregiver, parent, foster parent, adoptive parent, grandparent.
Fees are charged on a sliding scale but nobody is turned away when there are financial challenges.
Some of parents' questions and concerns covered during the sessions are:
- how do I help my child cope with our divorce?;
- what do I do about the constant arguing and fighting between my children?;
- my child is not motivated at school;
- my teenager is rude and disrespectful
- what do I do about my child's anger about our divorce?
Appointments must be made by the parent her/himself and are booked with the receptionist at 021 7620116.
